The role of computers in education

Computers play a vital role in education. They deeply influence the quality of teaching and learning as they are simple to use yet very accurate and fast, and can complete many tasks in a limited amount of time compared to when the task is done manually. Computers offers the best way of storing data is it makes it easy to access anywhere and at any time. It gives teachers/lecturers the benefit of storing information about their students in their laptops that they can carry around it also enable them to mark their learners work online. For the learners, it gives them the benefit that they can attend their classes without being physically present using platforms such as Moodle and google meet. Another use of computers is seen in the lesson presentations where projectors are used to display notes and images related to the topic. This makes the lessons more exciting and interactive; and also for easier viewing compared to the traditional chalkboard. the teacher can give instruction without turning his back to the students, he can still face the class and maintain eye contact with the students without turning around to write.
