Negative effects of media on relationships

Even though social media doesn’t directly ruin relationships, it creates problems if you and your partner rely on it as your form of communication. It does not strengthen the relationships the same way that physical presence does. We sometimes become so distracted by our phones that even when we are in the same physical space, it is very hard for us to connect with our loved ones as ninety-nine percent of our attention is fixed on our phones which makes it seem to those around us as if their presence means nothing. This contributes to communication failures in relationships.
